Shell Garage - Worcester
Shell Garage
Description
Set against striking scenery, this roadside service hub offers fuel, a compact grocery, coffee bar and sit-down dining in a modern, convenient layout. Travelers praise helpful, friendly staff, plentiful parking and tasty breakfast options; standout staff rescues reinforce reliability. However, experiences vary: restroom cleanliness and occasional food-quality lapses are recurring complaints, and a few customer interactions felt inappropriate. Better hygiene upkeep and staff training would lift an otherwise appealing stop to excellence.

In the past great. Now the bathroom is filthy with appliances broken. The few staff we did see wasn't friendly. Outside there are individuals who are looking into vehicles and walking around. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our belongings unattended.
This place created a very good impression on our brief stops on our way to and on our way back from our destination. It is very smart, neat, clean and modern inside and outside. Several toilets and washbasins are available in the clean restrooms. We enjoyed our take away coffee from ‘vida e caffē’ and snacks from the Spar. There are gorgeous (expensive) hats and caps on display for sale.
Was at the spar and bought a bread. I did not mind paying R3 extra as it is a convenient store however when I got home. The bread was full of miffed don't have money to waste. Will also leave a complaint on Blue Ribbon website!
The restaurant has an attractive exterior, but it’s not pet-friendly. Unfortunately, our toasted sandwich and chips were quite disappointing and not worth the price. The service was very slow, and it’s important to double-check your order, as we didn’t receive what we requested. This has been the worst stop on our journey from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
