The Stone House Inn offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with open fires, exposed beams, and stone flagged floors. The menu boasts delicious traditional pub dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. With a wide selection of cask conditioned ales, wines, and malt whiskies, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Families are well catered for with a dedicated children's menu and activity packs. The staff, like Kieron, Hayley, Alice, Tracy, Ed, and Amy, provide excellent service with a smile. With recent improvements and a new management team, the pub is moving in the right direction, making it the best in the area.
During a recent visit to Oxford to see family, we decided to give this pub another chance after a disappointing experience last year. What a transformation! The food was excellent, the staff were fantastic, and Hayley, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning more frequently and will be recommending this place to our friends and family.
Our Waitress ALICE was absolutely amazing .. smiley, chatty, professional, caring and very polite. Nothing was to much trouble for ALICE, she made us feel very welcome. ALICE was amazing with my little boy who is 4 he is Autistic with Anxiety and ALICE made him feel very relaxed and calm. Highly recommend a meal here.
I find the pub to have a very relaxing atmosphere, which is helped by the bar staff, you can tell they are all a real team , they are always smiling and willing to chat with customers .very helpful.. also the food when I do orer is is extremely good value for money, up there with a Michelin star. so overall the best pub in the area.
Quiz on a Thursday is great! Always go in before and order food never been disappointed staff very pleasent and friendly
