My wife and I love dining at this restaurant for breakfast from time to time. They offer delicious meals at excellent prices. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. An extra perk is the entertainment provided by the spirited discussions among some elderly customers, who engage in lively debates about constitutional law, immigration law, and various topics from the previous night's Fox News. The best spot for breakfast in Willmar by far. Delicious food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. My wife and I shared the country fried steak and eggs today, and it was excellent. This has become our go-to weekend breakfast place. I haven’t tried their lunch menu yet, but I do get a breakfast sandwich here every workday. If they don’t have one ready at the gas station, they’ll make a fresh one quickly at the restaurant. The other day, I even saw the owner working, which I really appreciate. I rarely give five-star reviews, but what earned this one is the perfectly seasoned food and high quality. The bacon is outstanding. You can tell this place truly cares about its customers. Update 5/1/21: Tried the mushroom and Swiss burger on the owner’s recommendation—it’s fantastic. Also had the cream cheese brownie, which was incredible.
Sunray's Coffee Pot Cafe is a great place to visit. They offer a wide selection of hot takeout meals and have a charming café atmosphere. I highly recommend it instead of the big chain restaurants.
The gas station provides local butcher shop meat sticks, jerky, live fishing bait, and 3.2 beer—perfect for stocking up before heading to the lake. The café offers tasty food paired with excellent service. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend dropping by for a meal!
I asked the lady if there was any fruit available, and she directed me to the grapes. Unfortunately, I noticed white mold on the grapes in every container, but I was really hungry and quickly grabbed the only one that looked mold-free. In my rush, I opened it up and was hit by a terrible smell, only to find that it was covered in mold inside. The produce date was just one day prior, which makes me think that the cooler isn't cold enough and that the food stored there might be at risk, potentially leading to food poisoning. I called the restaurant shortly afterward to inform her of the issue, and she simply thanked me for the heads-up. I would have rated the place higher if she had offered a refund or shown some concern, but she didn't, and she even recognized me from the earlier incident. I pass by this restaurant frequently, but experiences like this and the way they are handled will definitely keep me from returning. I won't be stopping there again.
