Nestled just behind Merchant Square, this cozy burger joint offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for casual dining. While the milkshakes and soda floats receive high praise, the food quality varies. Dishes like chicken tenders and shepherd's pie lean towards the industrial, while the standout Lamburger impresses with its juicy flavor and perfect preparation. Despite some hiccups in order accuracy and cleanliness, the staff remains friendly and efficient, ensuring a vibrant dining experience even during busy times. Overall, this spot is ideal for a quick bite, especially for families, blending affordability with nostalgic charm.
Very cool place, had a very good cheeseburger and fries and they were good. The atmosphere is very nice and I lie the retro feel of the place and the atmosphere outside is nice too. Definitely a place that I will be telling my friends and family about and I will be coming back!
As a W&M student this has been my go to burger joint. No frills, just perfectly cooked cheeseburgers on a great potato roll. Milkshakes are a bit thick. But have great flavors. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Apart from the tourists it's a fantastic laid back burger joint.
Had dinner here the milkshake and soda float were great and there's a nice laid back atmosphere, but the food was disappointing. The chicken tenders and the mac'n'cheese bites tasted very industrial/from frozen, and the shepherd's pieappeared to be a layer of mashed potato topped with brown gravy and chopped up hamburger.
We thought the lamb burger was amazing! At a little over 12$, it might have seemed overpriced at first glance, but not at first taste. Such a good flavor, cooked to order (we ordered medium, it was cooked perfectly). The hot dogs were good, too. Burger wasok, and the root beer was meh, but overall we were very happy with our lunch. We would come back here again.
