What Julie B dislikes about The Peacock:
On arrival there were three things requested from the menu that were not available. I ordered a steak medium well it was very well done. My friend ordered a well done which was so tough he couldn’t eat. I thought it was poor that a steak costing £21.95 did not have any garnish or peas with it. My husband ordered gammon and it was a pork chop! View all feedback.
We had a warm welcome at the Peacock. There was a good choice of food on the menu and the pie of the day was delicious. The staff were friendly and the service excellent.
Booked a table for six for my son-in-law‘s birthday. We were sat by the window unfortunately was really cold even though the heating was on the waitress did offer to put the blinds down to try and make it a little bit warmer. Staff were really nice. They seemed a bit busy did say it was very busy in the pub our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive, which, considering three of them were just soft drinks seem to take a while but I must say when the food arrived, it was absolutely lovely, were going to stay and have dessert but decided to pay and go as we were cold, but would definitely come back. The decor and inside of the pub is really welcoming.
Had a voucher for some money off the bill with the fork. Both of us had a steak, which was cooked to perfection. Was served by Becca who was polite, charming and funny. We would recommend and will be coming back.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We appreciated being able to bring our dog with us, which was a nice added bonus.
I came in this evening,18/4/24, with a couple of friends and Fraser was our server. He was very attentive from the start of our meal to the finish and was very polite. The food was excellent and I would definitely go again and recommend the Peacock. Thank you Fraser, will recommend you too!!!!
