The food here is consistently fantastic. If you arrive before 7 PM, you typically won’t have to wait. The prices are very reasonable, and they always offer two excellent specials for the evening.
The restaurant may be small, but it certainly packs a punch! The food is excellent, especially the paella, which is outstanding. Make sure to arrive early, as it fills up quickly. The sangria is delightful as well. However, the kitchen staff can be a bit slow, so it's best to place all your orders at once. If you decide to order additional dishes later, be prepared for a wait.
I really dislike giving a low rating, but the food here just doesn't taste good. The beef in the beef taco has a cafeteria-like flavor, and the shrimp taco features overcooked shrimp. The squid was also disappointing, with a rubbery texture and a burnt taste. While the service and atmosphere are pleasant, the food and prices simply don't match up (for instance, a small glass of house red wine costs $9).
What a fantastic place just off the main street of uptown Whittier. Excellent tapas menu with generous portions and a full page of options from basic to complex. Spain/Mexico fusion vibe and menu. Really enjoyed everything I tried. All the food is madefresh to order by clearly talented and creative chefs.
My friend brought me here for my birthday. She had never been there before and loved it. We ordered the skirt steak cooked to perfection topped with an amazing spicy chimichurri and creamy sauce. Our sides consisted of mac and cheese (probably wouldn?torder again even though it wasn?t bad), and corn esquites. Very good but what made our meal was the grilled bone marrow rajaswith grilled bread. Phenomenal! All in all, it was an enjoyable evening accompanied by exquisite food. I will return soon withmy husband for date night.
