The reason I gave Liola 4 stars was because it was difficult to communicate with him. He recited the specials incorrectly and couldn't really explain them which was annoying. He was a very nice guy though as was everyone else. The food was very good and dessert was delicious! The restaurant was lovely, and the service was attentive. The food we had was delicious, but we were disappointed to find that the online menu was completely different from what was offered at the restaurant. The online menu had a wider variety of options, was more affordable, and felt more casual. Had a business lunch at Liola because it was convenient from Long Island and Rockland. Pleasantly surprised. Everything was great.
They had a huge private party which is very nuce but they should have closed the restaurant as waited to ve seated and 20 min to get water and then the waiter ca.evfcto ask what we wanted withoutvgiving us a menu irvtelli gbnbus sodcials ie even asking about cocktail or appetizers.thet were understandably overwhelmed. it was our mistake not to have left.
Very nice people. Good food, good service. The only thing missing is music. There was no background music, very unusual for a restaurant.

The man I spoke to when I called the order in and picked it up was friendly, but that was the only positive aspect of my experience there. I had ordered 2 orders of seafood angel hair and 1 order of shrimp scampi over linguini. We got the three orders to go. For Christmas Eve, we were looking to order seafood pasta from an Italian restaurant so we wouldn’t have to prepare the seafood and pasta ourselves. We had another place in mind, but since they were already overbooked for Christmas Eve, they weren’t taking anymore reservations or orders for take-out. This is why we decided to order from this place. $96.00 for 3 people didn’t seem too bad, but it wasn’t worth it for the quality of food we recieved. The scampi lacked garlic and it was pretty bland. Scampi is supposed to be garlicky and buttery, but this was mediocre at best. I had a problem with the seafood angel hair as well. I requested seafood angel hair with red sauce a fradiavolo and it didn’t taste like fradiavolo and the sauce was different from what pasta with seafood in red sauce fradiavolo usually tastes like and the worst part was that there was very little seafood in there. When we get seafood pasta from the other place that was overbooked for Christmas Eve, they give much more seafood with the pasta for the same price as what I paid at Liola. I only recieved about 4 muscles and a couple of shrimp. I am very disappointed in the food.
