after a long time again in the Hörnsheimer eck to eat delicious fish in the wetzlarer old town. we were not disappointed. delicious food, no bones in the filet, fresh salad. that's it. Unfortunately, the noise level in the rustic restaurant is somewhat high. View all feedback.

in recent years, prices have risen significantly with smaller portioning and slowly falling apart device. for 2 pieces wolfsbarschfilet, barely larger than a fish stick with a bit salat and white bread 19,90€ and for a sea tongue with the same Spartan supplement 29,90€ is simply too much, even if it tastes good. also in matters of ease, you can cut off a disc with many locals. This is a small restaurant in the old town of Wetzlar, it is quite well known for its fish dishes, well I think all, but 2 dishes are fish, I have eaten here a few times in the past, but for what I order and the price that has risen steadily is only too much for me. I usually eat tink fish and for what you will get on your plate, you will not fill up, dont get me wrong it tastes good, but for what you get I feel it is much too expensive.
Dinner here with friends from Wetzlar. This is a warm, comfortable place with a complete and varied fish menu of sweetwater and saltwater varieties. Very good food the fish is prepared with skill and a very light touch. The mixed appetizer plate was simply delicious and could be dinner for two. This night they also had Iberian pork roast on the menu. It was absolutely the best pork roast I have ever eaten! Dining with friends is always a treat, but this is a very hospitable place where even the most solitary traveler would be welcome.
Although it is a restaurant that serves fish and the sea food, we had here the best argentinean steak. We also had calamari on grill which were good, the only thing s that the food is a little bit too salty. Besides this, the stuff is friendly and the food is served fast.
There again as a birthday surprise for my daughter (a place without which Wetzlar wouldn't be Wetzlar . It is still so cozy and you feel very welcome. Since everything is freshly prepared in a small kitchen, you should have a little patience. But then!!! Special specialties as well as the fabulous sardines with salad, homemade garlic butter and a great baguette... to kneel in. Hörni really deserves to be mentioned and visited if you love fish and are out and about in Wetzlar's old town
We ate there for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. The fish (sea bass fillet sole fillet), as well as the side dishes, tasted fantastic. The service was very friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance on the small, newly built outdoor terrace. The price-performance ratio is definitely reasonable and justified for this quality and by no means excessive! We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again! Highly recommended!
