I honestly can't understand how this restaurant manages to stay open! They make it incredibly difficult to dine there. Ordering food to-go is nearly impossible. We've even been turned away at the door because the kitchen was overwhelmed. The staff is often rude and seems indifferent. I would definitely recommend Home Slice on Main Street instead. They provide excellent food and service, and it’s clear they value their customers!
The Hotel Tavern is a fantastic dining spot! The food and drinks are excellent! The service is consistently impressive, and the owners are always mingling and engaging with guests. They even offer a wonderful gluten-free menu, allowing me to finally enjoy a good burger out!
Fast forward two weeks, I decided to give them another shot. I called at 5:50 PM to place another to-go order, but was informed that they wouldn't be accepting to-go orders until 7 PM. That was fine; I said I would call back then. After calling four times, I finally reached someone at 7:14 PM. To my disbelief, she told me they were still not accepting to-go orders. What?! If I had been informed of this when I first called, I could have ordered from another place and avoided wasting over an hour and a half waiting for dinner. I expressed my frustration to her, and when I mentioned that I could leave a negative review, she said she didn’t care. Well, I will definitely share my experience everywhere, including recording the phone calls for my YouTube channel. I won’t spend a dime at this restaurant again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Second visit here. First time was with a group of 7 people, this time two of us sat at the bar. We shared the crab dip appetizer and it was wonderful. We had a dinner meal first time. Service was good both times. It has separate rooms so it holdsa lot of people but you don't feel like your in a huge cafeteria. It's uniquely laid out, finding the bathrooms is a shortjourney with an art gallery.
Great food but very very pricey. The bar inside is nice. We had Pot stickers, Tavern Chips, Classic Wedge, Chicken Alfredo, Center Cut Pork Chop, Short Ribs and the Tavern Chicken. The Pot stickers, Classic Wedge and Tavern Chicken were very good. BUTthe Short Ribs were outstanding! Everything else was just okay. The outdoor patio is wonderful especially when they have a goodband.Seating is very limited on the patio The patio is dog friendly.
