I have eaten here 3 times in the last month and had to leave a quick note. Sandy is so nice and accommodating. Everybody who I dined with agreed the food was fresh and not of the "mall food" Chinese style. I love the chicken wings so crispy & light. Ask for her recommendations and she will detail each dish. Nice out of the way spot with plenty of parking. Truly one of Waterloo's hidden gems. View all feedback.

Stopped for a late lunch today. I ordered off the lunch menu Singapore Vermicelli ($7.99) Came with a free bottle of water! I asked for extra extra spicy. I got a plateful of bland noodles, a couple veg, some salty old ham and about 8 baby shrimp. Nothing had any taste except for the salty ham. It should taste of curry, ... but there was nothing. The service at this restaurant was quick. Our order included egg rolls, shrimp rolls, crab rangoon, and shrimp lo mein. Unfortunately, the crab rangoon was disappointing as it was chewy and lacking crispiness, with no real crab flavor - just cream cheese. The shrimp lo mein was satisfying and there was plenty of it. The shrimp rolls were underwhelming and the egg rolls were just okay. Overall, the meal was average.
University Garden has really upped their game in significant ways. If you tried it before and we're impressed, try it again. Food. More flavorful recipes. More meat in dishes. Ordering for takeout or delivery. Easy, accurate and on time. Really good experience ordering from here every time.
Often get delivery or takeout and it's always yummy!! I've never had a problem with the staff there. Quite the opposite! Would recommend.
We have been getting takeout Chinese food from University Gardens for the past 10 years. Our most recent meal was excellent - fresh, perfectly seasoned, and both the chicken and beef were incredibly tender.
The service was fast and efficient, and the food was excellent! I was amazed at how quickly the food arrived, possibly due to living just a few kilometers away. Even for a Friday night, the service was great. We often visit this restaurant because my wife requires gluten-free options, and the food is consistently excellent. The menu is extensive, and we highly recommend this restaurant.
