My favorite restaurant in DC. Young Chef Johnny Monis serves Mediterranean food inspired by summers spent in his parents’ native Greece. My favorite restaurant in DC. Young Chef Johnny Monis serves Mediterranean food inspired by summers spent in his parents’ native Greece. No longer offering an a la carte menu, diners choose first and second courses from the menu before enjoying a parade of small dishes. Past favorites have included watermelon and feta, and dates filled with mascarpone and served warm with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. Alas, it’s tough to get a reservation and there’s no bar for a pre- or post-dinner drink. Stlil, it’s one of the best spots in town. Chef Monis is a rising star. Catch him while you can.
Fantastic experience Was able to make a last minute reservation on a Tuesday night for a group of 4 people and we had a great time.
Amazing food, service and ambiance! The roasted goat was the best thing ever and loved every dish!
