Feedback
Located in a nice area in San Pedro, this restaurant offers great service, delicious food, and an amazing wine list, making it a must-visit spot in Monterrey. However, some customers have had negative experiences with the service and food quality at this same establishment, with complaints ranging from lackluster meals to rude waitstaff. Despite these mixed reviews, many diners have raved about the divine ambiance, delicious craft cocktails, and superb wine list. Overall, Etete offers tasty Ethiopian cuisine served family style, with highlights including crispy-fried whole red snapper and a variety of meat and vegetarian options. While some feel that the waitstaff could be more knowledgeable about the menu, others have praised the generous portions and fair prices. In conclusion, Etete is a popular choice for fans of Ethiopian food, though opinions on this restaurant vary depending on individual experiences.
I am a part of the committee for The Daisy Lewellyn Scholarship FundWe held our annual Brunch Series Scholarship Fundraiser at Etete.
Service is still lacking and slow. The food is good, although unfortunately the taste of the dishes varied several times.
The service at this restaurant was outstanding and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Ethiopian cuisine is served family-style and traditionally eaten with injera bread. The bread was exceptional and the dishes were delicious. We began our meal with sambusas, a flavorful variation of samosas that were just the right amount of spicy. Our favorite entrees were the lamb alicha and the vegetarian sampler. We also tried the short ribs and the sirloin tips, which were tasty but a bit dry due to the lack of sauce (intentional). The servings were generous and reasonably priced. It is recommended to go with a group so you can try a variety of dishes. I have rated this restaurant 4 stars, as I have been to other Ethiopian restaurants that I consider 5-star quality. If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit!
This restaurant is without a doubt my favorite. I absolutely love Ethiopian cuisine, and this place serves the best. I have tried Ethiopian food in various cities like NYC, Washington D.C., LA, Amsterdam, and San Diego, but nothing compares to this restaurant. Whether you are a vegetarian or a meat-eater, there is something for everyone to enjoy: Lamb, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, lentils, fish...I have tried it all and it's all delicious. It is a small, family-owned establishment that offers top-notch food, reasonable prices, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere. Whenever I am in Washington D.C., I always make sure to visit Etete, no matter what.
