it was a great stay in gasthaus cramer . all the staff friendly, the service is top. we were only there for one night to visit the cozy Christmas market in hirschberg. next year we are back. The hotel itself is very cozy and clean. I cannot complain about room size or staff. Very disappointing, however, I found the food on the arrival night. The Maispoulade with Gnocci were dry and after nothing tasted. Unfortunately, not only the taste but also the quality of the food was not right, as I had nausea and stomach problems until the day after. They have some good veggie dishes, surely not bad but the ambient is just awful. Everything is full of fur, horns, … I had some pasta and a pretty good bread spread. Ill take another one next time.
A bit expensive for the region, but compared to the quality it is really way too expensive. Taste is OK, nothing special. My meat was very dry, which they tried to cover-up by adding lots of sauce. My girlfried's deer was still completely raw at...the inside.
A delicious restaurant in the middle of Hirschberg, Warstein. The atmosphere is lovely- you can eat outside on the patio, in a white tableclothed section inside, or in the bar, seated at a wooden table in a room adorned with antlers. The service is great,...staff are friendly and helpful and there is an English menu available. We ordered too much food, as the starters are large enough to be a meal in themselves. Vegetarian options are clearly labelled. Ingredients fresh and tasty. The local liqueur dragons blood is worth trying!
