What Joshua Bailey dislikes about Common Grounds:
Common Grounds Waco is a pretty cool spot to hangout! The service was great and the atmosphere was fun with plenty of places to sit and study. The coffee and tea on the other hand was not so good. The coffee syrups are too sweet. All you can taste is the sugar and no coffee. The coffee was watered down quite a bit with the type of ice they use. Overall 3 stars because it’s a great place to study. View all feedback.
A must stop in Waco for coffee drinkers. It opened when I was at Baylor and we went all the time to study or just hang out. Good to see it is still going strong.
We frequent this coffee shop on a somewhat regular basis. I love that so many Baylor kids hang out here to study! The coffee is good, the baristas are always friendly and the cafe is so cozy and cute!
I’m convinced that this is the cutest and tastiest coffee shop in Waco. The staff is very personable and honest. They’ve cultivated an atmosphere that really does make you wish you could be there everyday. I ordered an iced Ombré half sweet and it was chef’s kiss. Parking is a bit tricky to get to. The turn off the feeder looks like an alleyway, but just keep going and it’ll lead you to the parking lot BEHIND the shop.
Wow, what a great spot right next to Baylor. All I can say is if I were back in college, I would have lived there. Staff was friendly and they do a nice cup of coffee. My only complaint is that my cappuccino was quite a bit too hot by about 20 degrees. It took 15 minutes to get it where it should. Other than that great job. That would never hold me back from returning orreferring.
This is one of my favorite hang out spots in Waco, along with the Woodway location. I've been coming here for the last 15 years (which feels so weird to say) and enjoying the atmosphere. This place has a classic coffee shop vibe with the cushy couches, cafe tables, and good tunes. The coffee is great... my favorite being the No Bull. This is the perfect spot to read, study, meet a friend, or whatever. There are tourist groups during the day (mostly from the Waco tours buses), but it's a very chillplace, especially in the evenings. Teeny tiny cons: Parking lot is a bit bumpy and tight, but it is what it is. Drive thru iskind of narrow, but I'm glad they have it for when I can't go inside!
