TAKO is a Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant serving up delicious Korean food with Mexican influences. They are located right next to Rogers Arena, so it makes it a great stop for some quick and delicious eats. They have a variety of dishes that have a lot of Mexican flair like burritos, tacos, and quesadillas and more traditional dishes like fried dumplings, Korean fried chicken and bibimbap. What Harrison Dickinson dislikes about Tako:
the server was really friendly. When I ordered the veggie tacos, she told me it contains fish sauce. I was glad she told me. I think they can't think of themselves for granted! So I decided to take the veggie quesadillas. I personally found her too cheesy, I couldn't taste the other ingredients. View all feedback.
I highly recommend trying the kimchi quesadilla and bulgogi poutine from this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was quick. I will definitely be returning!
Such a unique fusion of foods that works amazingly well! the service was so friendly and the food was so good. very good value for the tacos safe. I wish I could post pictures, but we couldn't wait to dig. try it yourself!
I was shopping for costco and wanted to take a lunch before I went home. I didn't want a Costco fare, but noticed this place close and wanted to try. the word tako stands for taqueria koreano, which obviously explains the Mexican-Korean dishes. It wasn't my first time trying this mix, but the first time in vancouver. I ended the ordering of the bbq short rib burrito bowl because the mention of kimchi fried rice made my mouthwater. I placed my order, maybe waited 5 minutes and then taken home. when I came home and the box opened and began to dig. short rib was cut into tiny cubes and still warm pretty good. Salad and tomato were cool and crisp. the fried rice was kold! it was clobpy as if they left rice in their refrigerator overnight. I don't know if that's conscious or they forgot to heat it again. I don't care, it was completely slandered. the accompanying sauces helped to give the whole dish extra taste needed. I wanted to like it, but the cold tasteless roasted rice really ruined it. I would be willing to try other items when I go back, but I will probably ask a lot more to know what I get.
