We dropped in for an early lunch based on the good review in the local paper last week. This is a friendly place with an eclectic selection of (mostly organic) pasta sauces, jams and jellies, and so on for sale as well as a limited menu of fresh baked goodies and food. I have been anxiously awaiting for this little gem to open up in my neighbourhood! . This morning I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners Chris, what a welcoming! The Federal Store has a wonderful assortment of groceries, goodies, and a lovely energy inside. A stranger even gifted me an americano! It was delish! What a sense of community and love :
To start: the sourdough bread is made every morning. Nothing is ever microwaved. They won't have one. EVERYTHING tastes amazing, and the love each item was made from oozes with each bite. But—if each sip of each sip of an El Federalé espresso Tonica does not soothe your soul and give you a sensory hug, then there is no pleasing you.
