What Ivan Beltrão dislikes about Calafquen:
It seems to be one of the most famous houses of the Valparaíso colors, but it is one of the most famous restaurants in the area (or at least they told me). specialized in Chilean food, recommending so seafood and so fish (fresquísimo,) although we can also enjoy meats and salads has an interior dining room with a large window overlooking the port, which makes it a very bright place. also has a terrace, ideal for hot... It seems to be one of the most famous houses of the Valparaíso colors, but it is one of the most famous restaurants in the area (or at least they told me). specialized in Chilean food, recommending so seafood and so fish (fresquísimo,) although we can also enjoy meats and salads has an interior dining room with a large window overlooking the port, which makes it a very bright place. also has a terrace, ideal for hot days.
The restaurant appears nice, but that's where the positives end. The food is terrible, with an excessive amount of oil or butter on everything from chips to roasted meat. The seafood was clearly not fresh and the excessive butter overpowered any other flavors. The prices were also high. For a third of the cost, you can eat delicious and fresh food at Caleta Quince. Basically, this restaurant seems to be a place where taxi drivers and tour guides receive commission for bringing in unsuspecting customers. If you want to eat poorly and pay too much, this is the place to go.
This restaurant appears to be just another colorful house in Valparaiso, but it is actually one of the most renowned in the area (or so I was told). Specializing in Chilean cuisine, I highly recommend their fresh seafood and fish, although they also offer delicious meats and salads. The interior dining room boasts a large window with views of the port, making it a bright and airy space. Additionally, they have a terrace that is perfect for enjoying on warm days.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but that's where the positives end. The food is terrible, with excessive amounts of oil or butter in everything from fries to grilled meat. The seafood was clearly not fresh, and the prices were outrageous. You can eat much better and fresher for a third of the price elsewhere. It seems like a place where taxi drivers and tour guides get kickbacks for bringing in unsuspecting customers. If you want to have a bad meal and pay a lot for it, then this is the place for you.
