Guided tour of the former asphalte mine truly interesting; authentic food at the restaurant.
We visited the museum and the mine with two under-aged kids and we all loved it! Our guide was bilingual and definitely knew her subject. We haven't tasted the famous ham baked in a bath of asphalt, but apparently it is a must-to-do.
Very interesting, a perspective that gives us the possibility of valuing the rough work of the miners much more in addition to the increase in knowledge.
As always the welcome is lovely and the staff are great and The star dish, asphalt ham is a marvel
We were lucky to have a privileged guided tour because we were the only ones that day. The guide Nicole passionately transmits her knowledge about the mine, responds professionally to questions and is warm and welcoming in nature. The place itself is full of history and this can be discovered through the visit and the explanatory panels as well as the photos from the period. I really enjoyed the visit and we will come back to taste the famous ham cooked on the asphalt! Thank you for everything.
