Feedback
The Vault is a restaurant known for its unique business practices, as exemplified by a situation where a party's reservation was given away due to a larger party wanting the same time slot. Despite this, the overall dining experience at The Vault is a mix of positive and negative reviews. Some diners praise the food and service, highlighting dishes like mussels, crab-stuffed avocado, pork chops, and seafood chowder. Others criticize the overpriced menu, lackluster service, and mediocre food. The restaurant's vintage midcentury modern decor is often lauded, adding to the overall dining ambiance. Overall, The Vault seems to have a varied dining experience that may or may not meet expectations depending on the individual visit.
Unusual Business Practices. I like The Vault and it's food and service but my friend scheduled a booking for a party of 20. They did this 2 weeks out and got confirmation and then a week before their booking The Vault calls and says sorry but we have a party of 80 that wants that time and gives it to them. Tell me this is not the way a restaurant should operate today. I will not be bringing my business to a place like this myself any longer. -----22 Oct, 2012----- First try a winner. Friend and I ate here this past Saturday after hearing some pros and cons. We started off with the Mussels and Crab Stuff Avocado appetizers. Mussels were in a wine broth with garlic and cooked just right giving us want we lost with Ciao closing. The Crab Avocado was just as good. Entrees for us were the Cesear Salad and Mousakka which were both good. Dinner capped off by Coffee and Apple Pie Ala Mode. Decent selection of wine and beer. Service for the most part was very good. Since we were up in the TomTom room some delays occurred but then good dining does carryout over time.

Hearty, flavorful American fare, kitschy decor, tasty cocktails, great Thursday night jazz. All the ingredients for an awesome dad-daughter date.
The restaurant is really really cool. I’m totally feeling the vibe of this place downtown. We made reservations in the Tom Tom room for our date night. The service was good and my food was good. I thought the veggies could’ve been a little more seasonedbut that’s not too much of an issue. I ordered the filet and it was cooked right and well seasoned, that’s a plus! Not a fanof the Korean BBQ meatballs, they were a little dry and too crispy. I’ll try a different appetizer next time. Other than thatI had an amazing time and enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
