What Jabari Schiller dislikes about Maxxwell's Restaurant:
Second time to eat here. First time had fish and chips for dinner. Good. Second time came for breakfast because the pic of chicken fried steak looked great. Well, guess what they don 't serve chicken fried for breakfast but they do serve steak? Asked for chk fry nope not til lunch. Am I in Oklahoma? Willing to give it a 2nd chance. There were 6 of us that stopped by for brunch on Sunday, and for the majority of the meal things went well. The turkey burger was a hit with one, as were the fish tacos for another. 2 more had the B.E.L.T. and we rounded out with The Old School Cheeseburger and I had the Beer Battered Cod. The Bad: The avocado was left off of the Turkey Burger, and the 2 B.E.L.T.s No large foul, we simply asked for some to be brought to the table. My fish tasted good...........EXCEPT...the Beer Batter coating was a tad soggy. The other complaint I had was WHY must you put hot fish on lettuce as a garnish? It's obvious the fish will wilt the lettuce leaving an unappealing greenish black leaf clinging to the fish. The Good: The Service The Cole Slaw (reminds me of Goldie's just a bit) The hand cut fries All in all not a bad experience, just room for improvement. I'll certainly return to check out some other entrees

Fast, call gordon ramsay! this place would be perfect for kitchen nights!. I really wanted to like this place. I love the situation and it has a cool mood. but eating is quite terrible. When we first tried, my man and I went with a big group. No one liked her to eat, but my husband and I thought we were terrible. I ordered a spinach salad, and it was quite basic, but the woofers were about 1/2 a inch thick - not exactly appetit. my man ordered the smokey mac n cheese, and it was very disappointing. the pasta was so overcooked it was in the grunde mush and the sausage seemed to cut hot dogs. I went back some months later with my...read more
All about the presentation: maxxwells restaurant in campbell hotel. first the good news: the campbell hotel is a beautiful restored business in the national register of the historical site. it was built in 1927 and originally houses the casa loma hotel on the 11th street in tulsa, the route 66. the architecture is the Spanish colonial revitation that was maintained in restoration and renovation that began in 2009 and was completed in 2011. this is a boutique hotel with all luxury that can testify to the look of the lobby and the connected restaurant maxxwells. the bad news: the food and the service were not so great when we visited there for lunch...read more
