My family and I visited Pellegrino to celebrate my birthday. There were 7 of us and we were seated promptly. The only issue was that one person's meal was served a few minutes after everyone else's. Other than that, all the food was delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Pellegrino's Trattoria:
1) If a key ingredient is present in a dish, such as nuts, it should be clearly stated on the menu or website for the safety of customers with allergies.
2) Given the potentially life-threatening nature of nut allergies, it is important for restaurants to be cautious and avoid cross-contamination, especially with gluten-free products.
We had high hopes for Pellegrino's and made a special trip there based on good reviews, but we will not be returning after this incident. It was a disappointment and a mistake on our part.
Hands down the best Italian food around. My favorite dish is Marco Polo, which is a special that's not on the regular menu and they graciously make it for me everytime. Always 10/10.
The food, wait staff and chef are awesome! My friend had the meatball and let me taste a little. It was the best I've ever had. Flavorful and tender. Can't wait to go back!
The food was a bit expensive, it took a long time to receive our order, our server was quite busy but managed to do her job well. The steak was fatty and the mushrooms had an overpowering wine flavor. The meatball and sausage calzone was mostly cheese.
Surprise. Surprise. A real Italian joint in exurbia Charlotte. Fresh baked bread and a wide array of favorites. We split a large calzone and took some home...it was great.
