It was dinner time in the small village where we lived and we were in search of a place to eat. John's Restaurant was the closest option, so we decided to give it a try. It is currently the off-season in Cyprus, so the restaurant was empty, but the friendly waiter warmly welcomed us with a smile. He was happy to offer and explain all of the vegan options on the menu. We decided to try the veggie balls, which were not listed on the menu but turned out to be delicious; they were made with taro, black-eyed peas, served with chips, vegetables, tahini, and olives on the side. We enjoyed our meal and found the price to be quite reasonable - we paid 20€ for three different dishes.
