Was User at Sushi Run a mag?
This restaurant seems to be run by Koreans and caters to locals. A lot of take out was being prepared there, so must be good choice for that. The tuna, hamachi and butterfish sashimi was quite delicious and great texture. The spider roll was not great, as the filling of soft shell crab was minimal and they used very old/tough lettuce. Unagi was ok, not torched nearly enough. Minimalist, narrow dining room with weird... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Sushi Run:
I've been here since it's opened and was originally called sushi2go. what the restaurant did was the owner of the woman. always friendly. it was the reason why I went back here again and again instead of her competition a few doors down. it is sad...now under the new name that it now works more in the back and the young seem to run the business. we were surprised and disappointed that in order to keep the prices stab... Wonderful service and food. The servers were very attentive and made sure our experience was flawless. The sushi was beautiful and very tasty. Much appreciated was the selection of vegan options. Comfortable screened off booth made for a cozy experience. Will definitely return!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options including a Bento, a sushi combo, and special rolls. All delicious!Kid-friendliness: Private booths available, fruity candies given at the end of the meal.
I wish I could give a zero. We got food poisoning and threw up big time. I called the restaurant about that but the owner didn't even apologize. She was very rude and blamed that was because we didn't eat the foods right away. Whatt??? I have reported this to Toronto Health. Hope they will look into this soon. Stay away from this restaurant...
If you’re looking for a good sushi place, this is it! The staff was friendly and welcoming. They greeted us almost immediately and we sat in a booth. The food was exactly what we wanted and tasted so good! It was fresh and hit the spot. This restaurant is in such a nice area of the city. There are shops up and down this area so it’s a great place to stop in regularly any time.
Parking: There are 1-2 dedicated spots at the back of the building, but Green P or residential parking is also available on nearby streets, so parking shouldn't be a concern. I was planning to try one of their popular sushi items, particularly their Poké bowls, but decided against it due to the additional cost for rice/soup/salad. Instead, I opted for a more traditional sushi option to see how it compared. The sushi was good, with a fusion style that caters to the local area rather than authentic flavors. The Spicy Salmon and Dynamite Roll had a lot of fried bits and sauce on top, making them less appealing as leftovers. However, I still enjoyed them despite not being a fan of excessive toppings. The standout dishes were the Korean options like Spicy Chicken and clear noodles. The flavors went beyond just chicken and gochujang sauce. If you're in the area and craving sushi, I recommend checking out this friendly spot. They offer free gyozas with any check-in and free wifi. Additionally, they provide delivery service within the area.
This restaurant has quickly become my favorite! I have visited six times in the last month and a half. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. I believe it is family-run, no pun intended! They offer a variety of delicious rolls that keep me coming back to try them all. I highly recommend checking out this place!
