Located in Toronto's Beaches neighborhood, Breakwall BBQ & Bar is a hidden gem known for its delicious smoked wings, brisket, and pulled pork. The family-friendly atmosphere offers a private party feel with a pool table and TV upstairs. The limited menu features first-class dishes like ribs, burgers, and chicken with sides like hand-cut fries. The attentive service, varied beer selection, and pleasant patio make it a top choice for locals and visitors alike. Despite occasional slow service, Breakwall BBQ & Bar remains a must-visit destination for mouthwatering BBQ and a great atmosphere.
We were at the beach in Toronto and got a bit starving with two kids with us. At the beach there is a very limited food offer so we decided to go back on Queen street. As some other restaurants were closed we have chosen the Breakwall. From outside it looks like a beer pub but it is far more. The menu is limited but has enough for everyone. We had the rips, the classic burger, the chicken parmesan and the chicken supreme. All this was really first class prepared, nice vegetables/ salad as sides plus hand cut fries. We would definitely come again.
A local who took people not from my area and they loved the ribs.Very meaty the portions were great The waitress was a bit slow but it was jazz festival. The ribs I should have ordered!
Average food and average service. Portions were good sizes but food was lacking. The smoked meats were the most flavoursome thing on the menu.
I shared the meat sampler with two of my friends, and the food was delicious! I just wish there were more pieces of brisket that had less fat. The patio is charming and was quite busy, but the hostess was accommodating and quickly found us a spot for two, so we didn't have to wait. The best part? The prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to coming back on a night when they have their wings special!
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for enjoying delicious pub food. It's also a great place to watch sports. They offer a deal for Leafs and Raptors games where you can get a small pitcher of beer and wings for just $25, which is a great bargain. I would have preferred the smoked wings to be cooked a little longer, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend giving it a try!
