Unfortunately we can only eat there. was completely booked for dinner. together with mille this was best for us in turin. very high wine card and ambiente. great service. Heavenly eating. not to miss.
Interesting restaurant with new taste. the preset menu for the night, had never imagined deaf, but turned out to be incredibly good with the sauce to go with it. everything was really good, but of course, to personal taste, so some. it was better than others. because my wife is pregnant, the kitchen was very attentive and made sure that the dishes were in order for her and the menu was modified to her needs. only had a glass of wine with the dinner on recommendation of the sommelier and I was not disappointed! all from the greeting with a glass wee in the ground floor lay the lounge in the desert on a very high standard and would absolutely come back and see what they come next time in the city. there would be a 4.5 assessment if I could!
Pank is a restaurant in the city center of turino that opened two years ago. the restaurant is very beautifully decorated and it looks beautiful and stylish. we ate there with a group of 8 people and most of us ate the 4 course menu....We hardly recommend this place! the waiters were very friendly and helpful and their English was good! the portions were not too large and it was very tasteful. the quality of the dishes was very high and the p/q ratio is fair. when in torino, they visit this place!
Great lunch in relaxed and exclusive atmosphere. The entrance to the restaurant is at street level but then you are ushered upstairs to the actual dining room. Very well priced for city centre Turin. Good selection of wines. Excellent food with friendly service. 25% discount...if booked using The Fork.
We came to Pank with high expectations, but came away hugely disappointed. Things started well, being greeted with a small glass of white wine on arrival, although it did subsequently take us a while to catch the eye of the waiter to indicate we'd like...to move upstairs to our table. (It would seem you can't make your own way-a couple who attempted to do so were quickly rounded up by the waiter). There were a number of snacks sitting around on plates but apparently these were not for guests, or at least for us as they were not offered. The dining room was pleasant, and the menu sounded interesting. I ordered the plin and lamb rack, and my companions the green potato dumplings with porcini and octopus for starters and both had the braised veal cheeks for mains. We deferred to the sommelier for suggested wines by the glass to accompany the courses and his selections didn't disappoint. When we first sat down (only the second table, just after opening at 7.30pm) we were a little bemused by the fact that the music being played was high volume blues guitar, a somewhat ill fitting choice. Shortly after we arrived I think another table complained as the volume dropped noticeably, although it remained an incongruous accompaniment to our meal. But it was when the food arrived that things started to really go wrong. The octopus was hard to find on the plate, looking nothing like the online photos. It was in part accompanied by a limp piece of lettuce that was browning around the edges. When we pointed out the lack of freshness in the salad the waitress just said No it's not and turned her back. The green potato dumplings were also a disappointment, being bland and under seasoned. I had better luck with the plin, which was tasty enough, but our misfortunes continued with the main course. Instead of the rack of lamb I had envisaged I received three lumps of grey thoroughly overcooked meat, with no bone in sight. I pointed this out to the waitress who just shrugged. My companion's veal cheeks were totally overwhelmed by a crippingly strong wasabi, with sweet amaretto biscuits getting soggy in the sauce. As a dish it was both ill conceived and poorly executed. By this stage we decided to cut our losses and run. The bill came to over 174 Euro, for two drinks and two courses each. (The cover isa high 3.50 per person for bread and crostini). This restaurant would not survive for a week in our home town of Melbourne, and it's high place in the Tripadvisor ratings has us questioning the standards of Turin cuisine generally. Fortunately we have excellent self catering facilities in our apartment!
