Five Pointed Star
Menu
The restaurant from Tonbridge and Malling offers 84 different courses and drinks on the menu for an average price of £9.
Nestled in a vibrant area, this pub offers a mixed experience for diners and drinkers alike. While some patrons appreciate the beautifully presented meals and friendly service, others have encountered issues such as long wait times and unhelpful staff. The outdoor patio is a lovely feature, though the atmosphere indoors can be marred by rowdy patrons. Menu highlights include delicious burgers and comforting classic dishes, but inconsistency in food quality and service has been noted. Overall, the establishment appeals to those seeking a cozy local spot, but guests are cautioned to visit during quieter hours for the best experience.

What User dislikes about Five Pointed Star:
I've eaten this afternoon. the young man who took our order was very helpful and obliged. we ordered coffee, but there was no lactose free or soy milk available, only full fat milk. we ordered our food, which, when it arrived, was beautifully presented, torts hot and the portion sizes were good. I chose chicken, pancetta and mushroom cake with maic and garden baptized with gravy on the side on £14. the bake of the ca... View all feedback.

Beautiful to see that west malling has live music from the top bands of the graphic. very nice staff too.
My partner and I, along with another couple, decided to visit this pub for a drink after a nice meal on the high street while waiting for our taxi. Unfortunately, our experience was quickly soured by a rowdy group, one of whom was openly using cocaine. The door staff seemed more interested in standing outside than managing the situation inside, and the landlady appeared unaware of what was happening. I would not recommend this pub for late-night visits based on our experience. I cannot speak to what the atmosphere is like during normal hours, as this was our first and last time visiting. I am willing to provide more information, but not through a private email. The incident occurred on a Friday evening, and the way it was handled by the lady who insisted we leave created the impression that she was in charge, despite not being a staff member. The door staff were informed of the situation when we left, but their response was not satisfactory. We felt uncomfortable reporting the incident to a staff member inside, as we did not want to leave our partners in a hostile environment. Despite our efforts to peacefully leave the situation, no action was taken against the disruptive group, particularly the individual using cocaine. I understand that negative reviews may not be welcome, but this review is based on our honest experience. I hope that this incident will be properly investigated.
I am a regular at the Five Pointed Star because it is a fantastic pub with amazing staff, a great crowd, and a feeling of being part of an extended family. However, I am writing this review for a specific reason. Recently, I lost my wife who was also a regular at the pub, and the support I have received from the staff has been incredible. From the day of her passing to her wake on Friday 12th of April, every member of the team has been kind, compassionate, and went out of their way to take care of me. The owner, Tom, went above and beyond by providing space, arranging food for over 100 guests, and working with his team to ensure everything ran smoothly. This kind of care and support is truly remarkable. I am grateful for the kindness and service provided by everyone at the Five Pointed Star, and I highly recommend this establishment to others. Thank you to the entire team for everything.
