Was JGDynamo at Wolfies Grill a mag?
We had wanted to go to the Italian Village Restaurant on the recommendation of local friends who have been there numerous times in the past. It is still there but looks like it is only doing events and even though me being in Australia is an event unto itself, alas not the kind of event they cater to. I must get myself invited to a wedding reception there to try out the menus we have heard they turn out there. View all feedback.
What adventurerplus dislikes about Wolfies Grill:
Well, we decided to stop here after seeing it every morning on our walk past it. It was a disappointment in every way, food and service. Yes, great location but without the service and food it sours that too. Wish it was better, we had really looked forward to dining there. View all feedback.
Good stuff First - Service was excellent, ambience fantastic. However, if the average 25 for entree and 60 pay for network, the food must match. Entrees were edible, but had no taste, the net were passable, but the money is not worth it. If this would be a local restaurant and 1/3 the price, it is fine. Only good for tourists, not for gourmets.
Very disappointing bought a seafood plate for just $ 200, which was very undermined when I revealed this to the managers, which his answer was aware of that they do not pay for the look
Food was a delicious service was terrible. It took an hour to pick up our order, wanted to calculate $ 5.50 per person to get a cake for a birthday, Sunday costs $ 5 per person at extra cost and would not allow Pasta to take away can become.

After hellish storms pummeled Sydney the day before, it was with nervous anticipation that we confirmed our place as guests at the season launch of a major Sydney football club season launch, held at The Italian Village. Our fears were put to rest when Sydney decided to apologize for it's dreadful show the day before a gloriously mild and clear afternoon heralded still skies that morphed into a dusky kaleidoscope of muted pinks, mauve and cobalt blues. The Italian Village is at the end of a waterfront walk and sits among other similar eateries right across the ditch from the Sydney Opera House. On this occasion, those famous white sails were obliterated momentarily by a monster of a cruise liner. The full vista was gifted to us once the, er boat set sail, but not without an enormous ship's horn that threatened to blow our eardrums after the first 30 seconds. Back to the venue, as described by many previous guests, the food can be hit and miss. There were very few tables, as this was a corporate event and they want you to mingle. My one lament was wearing high heels. There is a grassed area in front where we stood and my poor feet sank quickly in the soft ground. A few waiters appeared rather sporadically, bearing small trays of mediocre fare but nothing that made one feel like they were somewhere truly special. Which is a shame, because you ARE somewhere exceptionally special. Bang smack on the Sydney Harbor foreshore. The Sydney Harbor Bridge is on your left, the Opera House is right in front of you and the magnificent Sydney skyline takes up the rest of your peripheral vision. It would do well for the proprietors to capitalize on this fact by revisiting their menu and the decorum of their staff, who weren't rude. They just weren't well, anything. 3/5
