giando is a nice restaurant located in the new part of TARANTO. cozy place, quick service, very good dishes. We're having dinner with a couple of friends on Monday night. apart from another table the room was semi-empty, understandable. the waiting times, considering the poor turnout, were not short. This is clearly a sign of an express kitchen, a strength, but I wonder how long it would be to wait Saturday night with the full room. the reason why, however, I can not give more than three balls is the price quality ratio. fi... Went here on a Saturday night and service was terrible. Antipasto was ok but steak was incredibly fatty. Restaurant has no atmosphere.
I went to Giando with my wife (I'm Italian and she is Swedish) based on the good feedbacks and given its proximity to our B&B. We chose to eat outdoor and although the patio is by the road we were not disturbed at all by the outside noises. We had as starters the antipasto di mare (seafood starter) and polipo (octopus) and they were both excellent. As main dishes we went for spaghettoni ai frutti di mare (seafood spaghetti) and home made pasta with fish based sauce (you need to ask what fresh fish they have available on the day) and again the quality was just spectacular. We accompanied our dishes with wine by the glass (sparkling) which was also very good. The staff was very friendly and professional. Quite frankly...based on the experience we had I would not know what I would change or improve. Everything was just perfect and good prices for the very high quality of food serviced.

We were looking for lunch and found this restaurant near the theatre that we were visiting later. No booking but they were able to seat us and serve the light lunch we needed. The food was excellent as was the wine and we had a lovely meal.
Very fresh meal in a clean and cosy atmosphere. I had a multi cereal pizza. tasty and light. excellent wines with affordable prices.
