They serve a wide range of beverages (including Bavarian Augustiner beer) and also some really tasty food (they do not have a huge menu and mostly smaller dishes though). During the weekend,...the place is absolutely bursting with people by around PM. So be sure to come there early, if you want to sit. Most people just get drinks inside though and enjoy them right in the streets in the big crowd. The people that frequently go there are (at least for me) a pretty enjoyable mix of students/undergrats, young adults, and also some older ones In general, people going there tend to be very liberal, outgoing, friendly, and alternative to some degree, without being too freaky though. Due to its perfect location, the Mata can be both a starting point for your nightly expedition as well as your final destination for that last beer, before you stumble home.

Ab zwei Personen bekommt man für unter 10 Euro einen Topf Käse, Brot und ein paar Beilagen. Das ist wirklich lecker und gesellig. Trotz Wochentage lohnt sich eine Reservierung (ja, im Mata kann man tatsächlich reservieren!) wenn deine Gruppe mehr als zwei Personen groß ist.So zeigt sich die Bar mal von einer anderen, durchaus passablen Seite. Großes Lob an die kleine Kneipenküche!
