The restaurant features ample parking, including designated spots for blue badge holders, along with plenty of space for buses and trucks. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. It caters to various travel needs, making it an excellent stopping point for those traveling north or south. View all feedback.

Disappointed in starter of mussels...too many not opened! Main lobster course was excellent. Did not have sweet dish. Certainly would return and recommend to others View all feedback.
Beautifully cooked and presented food. Friendly host and well priced to boot.
Was visiting the area with my partner and decided to try out the Tollbooth for our last meal, and was thoroughly pleased that we went. Both the server and front of house was attentive and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was fantastic, would recommend the langoustine if they are available. Lemon curd desert is also fantastic.
Recently had a fantastic meal at The Tolbooth to celebrate our anniversary. Food was excellent, specials in particular that day were off note, fresh Shetland mussels freshly caught local Stonehaven lobster the stand-outs. Oysters from Loch Fyne superb!! The quality of all elements of the meal were excellent, not just the main dishes but vegetables perfectly cooked, desserts were devine!! On top of the food, the staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. A great night and look forward to returning soon!!
A historical building on the port now a 1st class restaurant, a good selection, good service, and obviously a specialty in seafood, though the Scottish bee is also pretty good as well. Not cheap, but good value
This was a lovely restaurant! With fresh seafood from Stonehaven on offer it us a must try while visiting or close by. Look out for the specials I ordered the sea bass which was cooked whole and we also ordered the mussels and salmon. All very delicious, service is great also.
