Feedback
Customers have mixed reviews about this Asian restaurant. While some praise the food's authenticity and delicious flavors, others complain about poor service, overcharging, and trickery with the bill. One reviewer had a negative experience with delivery, finding the food to be overcooked, flavorless, and a poor value for the price. However, many appreciate the extensive menu, large portions, and reasonable prices. The dim sum received mixed reviews, with some diners finding it unexceptional while others enjoyed certain dishes. Overall, customers recommend trying the restaurant for its tasty food, but caution about potential billing issues.
The experience of lunch(Dim sum) was very very bad!! Tastes pretty good. But the service quality of the waiter/waitress were very very poor: 1. The spout of the porcelain pot containing chrysanthemum tea was broken and a large piece was missing. Ask their waiter, such a pot can be used? He actually answered me: You were not drinking from the spout. What does it matter if a piece of the spout is missing? What kind of service mentality is this? 2. The sesame balls and rice rolls delivered, I asked the waitress why she didn't cut it? She replied arrogantly: They didn't cut it, it's their policy. Not a refined way to eat at all! 3. When check out, the waitress gave the next table bill to me! Fortunately, I checked the contents of the bill! Otherwise I have to pay an extra hundred dollars? Terrible service!!! Too bad!!!
New address is 1531 Hwy. 6 Great food! Clean place and very friendly staff. Best Dim Sum so far !!! Must try!!
The food is good, but the '1 star ' rating is for the trickery they pulled on our bill when it came time to pay. Our server pulled an old trick in the restaurant industry where they subtotal your bill to include the 18% tip and print the signature receipt leaving the tip open hoping the Customer would leave an amount on top of the already-included tip. Of course this is ultimately my fault for falling for this and I can only be so angry with this. Just be aware this is what they are doing with your bill when you dine in. CHECK YOUR ITEMIZED RECEIPTS ALONG WITH THE SUBTOTALS. Don 't support this business if they continue to allow this to happen.
Covid time. 50% capacity. Big clean pretty restaurant. Only 5 tables occupied Sunday brunch with 1 waiter. He tried hard to be fast and efficient. Food took long to come out, typically 1-2 dish at a time. But I'm not complaining Bc I understand it's covid and with business slow and limited, staff will be limited. Menu was extensive, good selections. They give you a paper menu and a picture menu--I like that to see what I was ordering. The dim sum was good. It wasn't processed and was made fresh. The soup dumplings are good and very hot! I burned my throats trying to swallow it whole dumb idea. It's still a little tender as I type this. The salt pepper fried shrimp ha cao is EVERYTHING. The shrimp rice rolls are very mushy but it melts in your mouth which I surprisingly enjoyed. The Chinese broccoli is good, no oyster sauce dip but it is seasoned well. They don't leave out condiments but will bring it out on little sauce dishes. The crab shrimp balls are good, the outside is crispy, inside is hot with fresh shrimp and crabs. And they're $4.99 vs $6.99 for 2 balls at Kim son. Consistently is mushier than the processed crab shrimp balls we had at Kim son. Overall great food, great prices.
Regal has higher class of Chinese food. I use to travel to Toronto for better Chinese food. Regal got it in Houston now. Edmin the owner always have better and new dishes to serve us. But you must willing to pay the price. Regal's quality food is not the same as other Chinese restaurants on Chinatown.
