Aya Sofia is a hidden gem known for its amazing Balkan-Mediterranean cuisine and cozy atmosphere. The large menu offers delicious options recommended by loyal customers. The staff excels in providing exceptional service. The restaurant's welcoming ambience makes it a favorite spot for date nights and family outings alike. Patrons rave about the flavorful dishes, especially the Meze platter and lamb preparations. While some minor issues have been noted, overall, Aya Sofia is highly recommended for great food and a wonderful dining experience. Don't miss out on this delightful restaurant in the Midwest for a taste of authentic cuisine and warm hospitality!.
I ended up getting the Köfte sandwich to go, the bag smelled lovely when I picked it up. And I couldn’t wait to get home and eat it. Sure enough, it was delightful. The seasoning on the meatballs was perfect, the rice pilaf was moist and full of flavor. Despite not going inside for this experience- I would still come back so I could. This place’s atmosphere is warm, and cozy. Private and traditional. Really good if you like Balkan-Mediterranean food!
Tbh, I didn’t like Iskender and Musakka. Musakka wasn’t warm enough. But Hunkar Begendi was okey. You can dip it with pide bread and you can have it. Staff was nice
One of the best mid east restaurants in st louis. eating was delicious decoration is also good. beautiful place for family dates
The food is excellent, the staff is fantastic, but the parking situation could be better. Despite this, it hasn’t deterred us from coming back multiple times. As for parking, there are very few spots near the restaurant, so I had to use a lot located in the alley behind it.
The food was mediocre at best, especially if you've experienced a great Turkish restaurant. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, and I only saw them about three times during our visit. Additionally, an automatic gratuity was added to the bill, even though we were a small party.
