I had a wonderful breakfast with a fantastic server. The owner stopped by to chat with us and shared a few jokes, providing some unexpected entertainment! He even signed a menu for me.

I arrived from Chicago craving coffee, and someone suggested I check out Anton's. When I got there, I was delighted to find a classic diner with friendly staff. I ordered the biscuits and gravy along with a side of bacon, and it was exactly what I was looking for! If you prefer a fancy restaurant with tablecloths and a hostess, this isn't the place for you. But if you're after warm hospitality and the kind of home-cooked meal you dream of on a Sunday morning, this is the spot for a friendly, affordable meal. Just a heads up, it's cash only—if it weren’t, the prices would likely be higher due to processing fees. They do have an ATM, which I used so that I could leave a solid tip of over 20% for my breakfast! Enjoy!
Anton personally greeted us upon arrival and gave my daughter a little doll. The food is made from scratch, the coffee is fresh ground, and the staff is friendly! Anton sat with us once we finished eating to tell us a little about his business since we had never been there before. It was a great experience!
First, it 's cash only, so be prepared before you go. They do have an ATM if necessary, so you won 't be totally screwed if you don 't have cash, but still . . . Be prepared. It 's good breakfast food. I 'd call the environment 'retro ' or 'old school ' but the truth is that I think the decor has always been the same since they opened in the 70 's. Worth going a few times.
