Smooth, pleasant, charming, delicious. The service and the food was lovely from start to finish. Ambience of the place is relaxed. We ordered both the regular lamb main and the special. The special was definitely the winner and allowed the lamb to shine in the dish. The owner came out at the end to farewell and chat to us which was a nice touch. Not great. They changed owners and the quality just isn’t there. Shadowboxer was such a cute joint that I planned to go back for my birthday. Delicious food and amazing service. We visited last night and ordered the $75 set menu. If you do this, make sure you arrive with a very empty stomach the servings were very generous! We received plate after plate of perfectly executed food (we were told the owner was the chef for tonight) the fried calamari, pickled octopus, chicken skewers, and rice pudding dessert were particularly nice. Our waitperson was very warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We really appreciated her friendly and professional manner. The retsina wine, reccommended by the sommelier, was delightful and unique. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was very comfortable: intimate and modern and beautifully decorated.
