Vinal Bakery - Somerville
Vinal Bakery
Description
Nestled in Boston, this cozy breakfast spot is celebrated for its exceptional New England–style English muffins, rotating seasonal flavors, flaky scones, standout breakfast sandwiches and strong coffee. Friendly service, real plates and a few indoor tables create a pleasant dine-in vibe; mobile ordering and nearby parking add convenience, plus a restroom next door. Prices skew a bit high and waits form on busy mornings, so order ahead. Vegans have at least one option but it’s pricier, and occasional overcooking has been reported.

Absolutely fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed the Miss Maple breakfast sandwich, which featured the flavor of the month English muffin made with cornbread and jalapeño. I was really tempted to purchase some of the English muffins they were selling (they make them on-site, and they are delicious). I also tried the caramel cardamom latte, and it was so good that I immediately craved another. I was surprised that the place wasn't busier at 11 am on a Saturday, but I actually appreciated it because we found a nice spot to sit, and the service was quick. I will definitely return soon!
This is a lovely coffee shop located on the corner. Like many independently owned establishments, the owner offers her own special food items, with a focus on English muffins. Unlike the well-known commercial brands you find at the grocery store, these are made from her unique recipes and are larger than average. The muffins are sold in packs of four for $9 each. The shop also features a variety of baked goods and serves high-quality coffee and tea. I live in Hudson, and if our town had a coffee shop like this in the downtown area, I would definitely be a regular customer.
This place offers some of the finest New England-style English muffins you'll find! They are absolutely delicious. The scones are fantastic as well—soft, round, and crumbly, just how a scone should be. The coffee and lattes are quite good too. Plus, it's easy to place an order through the Toast app.
Came here yesterday late morning and parked down the street in front of Target. It’s been on my list for awhile and I was excited to finally try it due to the hype and my love for English Muffins. Don’t get me wrong they were good but not out of this world. I asked the person at the front what I should get and she recommended three and I choose the Sausage McVinal then got an individual English muffin with maple butter. The loss of the star was because I was the only one in there and waited a solid ten minutes and received a burnt English muffin. It was also just on the edge of being undercooked. Hard to see in the picture. The sandwich was good but all in it was $15, so overall this was 3.5 stars. I can’t imagine what the wait would be on a busy weekend morning so I would probably recommend ordering ahead. Might come back if I’m in the area but won’t go out of my way.
