Food was delicious, the sangria was yummy and on HH!! Service was quick, loved that we were not rushed, felt very nice to be able to hang out and eat a slower pace since we were having dinner with family. Really appreciated that. The vibes are cute, nice and cozy space. View all feedback.

One of the best hole in the wall spots that you’ll find in San Francisco definitely come here with a group of friends/family where you can try out a whole bunch of options because everything is delicious. I’d highly recommend the oxtail since that was my favorite dish here.
I loved their Paella, the dipping sauce for the bread, their Sangria is super tasty. Very reasonably priced! The service was great. Very welcoming and warm, Spanish guitar playing, candles on the tables, a rustic look. Bring you vaccine proof if you want to dine inside. I will be coming back with friends to try more of their meals.
Old school Mission vibe and hearty Spanish food. Prices are very good for tapas. I had the Ropa Vieja. Nice outdoors spot on the sidewalk too.
One of my all time faves! I'm never disappointed when I make a stop at Esperpento. I love ordering tapas and trying so many different foods at such reasonable prices. The brava sauce is everything! I'm a seafood fan so we normally order lobster tails,calamari and mussels. The Paella is a family favorite for larger groups. This was also our take out treat during the pandemic.When so many places dropped their standards, Esperpento stayed consistent.
All dishes were bland except potato's bravas and the sangria. Calamari was tough and tasteless. Maybe we should have added some salt to dishes. Creme brulee was pretty good. This place used to be really good, but no more. Outdoor service was very attentivebut it was at opening and empty. We used to love this place.
