We were really disappointed with this restaurant. We walked in optimistic, as the atmosphere was quite nice. We ordered the Mac n' cheese and the smoked salmon orzo bowl. The mac n' cheese was $13, and when it arrived, it was only about one cup of pasta—barely enough for a child and hardly even an appetizer. We were really disappointed with this restaurant. We walked in optimistic, as the atmosphere was quite nice. We ordered the Mac n' cheese and the smoked salmon orzo bowl. The mac n' cheese was $13, and when it arrived, it was only about one cup of pasta—barely enough for a child and hardly even an appetizer. It also didn't include all the ingredients that were advertised. The salmon portion was slightly larger, but at $18 for just a cup and a half of orzo, it felt quite lacking. Overall, we thought the prices were extremely high for such small portions and the overall quality of the dishes. We really wanted to like it, as we would have made it a regular spot for us.
To order, you simply place your request at the bar, receive an electronic buzzer, and then find a comfortable spot to relax while you wait for your number to be called. The Jetty is located at the back of the complex, with its own entrance and food pickup area. When your buzzer goes off, you can grab your food from the kitchen/service station. With a limited menu, great food, and an unbeatable atmosphere, this place deserves a solid 4 stars. It's a perfect spot for Humboldt comfort food in a laid-back setting, and definitely worth a visit.
Tonight I finally ordered from The Jetty. Been salivating over the possibility of a good Cubano. Well....it was okay. What it lacked was quality ingredients with the pickles being most important. I detected no mustard, 1 slice of ham and a pile ofBook! in the middle of the sandwich. Overall the flavor was there with the pork being quite tasty sans mustard. What I look for in a Cubano are generous, well dispersed layers of ingredients with each able to stand on its own flavor. Put them together and you have a Cubano!! For my side, I took the potato salad option. I will rethink that next time. Again, flavor was there but it lacked finesse. Bigger than bite size required cutting up the salad. Booo! I chose not to dine on site, so I 've no opinion as to the ambience of the locale.
We had a vegan salad that was excellent. All the food looked great. They have an option for a BBQ kit of food that you can cook yourself on their outdoor grills with tables near them.
