We heard that this restaurant was not good but it is now under new management and the food is very good. We had dinner there and the place was full. They even had to turn people away. Just tried to eat at their Club Grill restaurant right now. There were only two tables of guests in the place and I counted at least five servers so I know they weren't overworked. However I waited 15 minutes and no one bothered to approach me, let alone take my order. Was I supposed to go into the kitchen and make something for myself ? Had a relaxing holiday. The lake was very high but lovely weather. They are doing a lot of roadwork on Westside road into the resort but the finished product will be well worth the inconvenience of short road closures. They are doing quite a few upgrades to the resort--staff were pleasant and enjoyed our golf game at the resort.
Booked a 3 night stay in 1999 6 months before our stay after driving 45 minutes to choose a room. Aug 1st comes around & when we show up at the front desk to sign in they had a few changes for us. Instead of 3 nights we only had 1 now & instead of staying in a room on the water we were place as far away as possible. For all the trouble we were given a free desert, The meal was excellent & so was the complimentary desert.
If you value your health, please skip past this place. We were staying in the area and decided to give it a try.When we first walked in there were 3 people sitting at the bar watching TV. No staff to greet us, no one saying welcome, nothing. Then after a bit one of them looked at us, and popped off the chair asking us if we were just looking around. Um, no? Turns out these were the staff! We asked for a menu, and after looking at it decided it was good enough, not wanting to drive the extra length to go to Kelowna for dinner. The server was friendly and nice, the other two remained watching A&E.We ordered chicken fingers and fish and chips. Nothing fabulous. The worst came at 1 am when all 4 of us awoke from a dead sleep to instant illness- food poisoning. Thank goodness our vacation rental had 2 bathrooms, they were constantly in use for the remainder of the night. We have never been that sick before ever. This place is old, outdated, lacks customer service, plus seriously needs an inspection from the health department to make all 4 people in our group sick. PLEASE someone go through that kitchen before anyone else gets sick.
Avoid this place at all costs. You will regret visiting. It is a complete joke, not a proper resort, restaurant, or marina.
I just came back from a weekend in Okanagan Lake Resort... I can't believe they charged me a cleaning fee. On arrival the place was a dirty disgusting mess. The kitchen cabinets have food particles and dirt inside, everything needs a wiped out, the exhaust... Bed was covered with hair. Outdated and in bad repair, The master bedroom toilet water never stopped running, Tge main bath tub was clogged, kitchen refrigerator leakage water. Stay away... You can better with the same money
