Was Anonym at Thyme a mag?
The food here is consistently delicious. Everything we ordered was served at the perfect temperature and elegantly presented. The service was fantastic—friendly and cheerful. Before COVID, they offered a seasonal menu that I hope they bring back. I love the current menu, but it would be great to see some new elements added from time to time. They definitely have the talent to do it. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Thyme:
Nothing the 3 of us had for lunch stood out; even a simple item like wrapped Brie with apples was very bland. We were there on a mid- week day that wasn’t very busy. The service was adequate, and the view pleasant overlooking the pond. View all feedback.
I 've heard so many good things about Thyme and we were really excited about coming. The exterior has a whimsical feel to it...like you 're going into a big fancy cottage for some out of this world meal. Parking lot is big and with a nice view too! We were in awe for about 3 minutes...until we walked in to the hostess and asked for a table for 4. She asked the typical do you have a reservation? and we said we were just walk-ins. And I swear the hostess rolled her eyes and exhaled a sigh (later confirmed by my party that they all saw it too). The restaurant was only maybe 1/4 full so I don 't see why she scoffed the way she did. To Ms. Hostess, you are the front of the house...there 's no reason for that. We tried to brush it off only to be reminded again by our waiter of what happened. We only had a minute to look at the menu when he returned and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We said we weren 't ready...and he too scoffed! Then when he came to take our order, he looked annoyed, bothered, no eye contact, not even a fake smile... Regardless of those 2, we still enjoyed our meal. The eggs benedict was really good with a crispy hash as its base. The smoked salmon benedict sounded better than it wasted unfortunately. Portions were bigger than expected so we were really stuffed. **** Mary seem a bit watered down but I guess that 's expected. At least add a piece of celery in it! I really wanted to give Thyme at least a 4 star rating...maybe even 5...but the bad attitude from the hostess and one of the waiter 's left an impression on me.
Dinner was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
A great experience from start to finish. Easy parking, greetings were warm and friendly, the food, service and attentiveness were EXCELLENT. The staff’s attentiveness was simply superior and the food, appetizers and entrees, were delicious and served on time. The view of the lake was beautiful, especially in the freshly falling snow. I took my girlfriend there for a nice dinner celebrating her 60th birthday and the restaurant had the charm I desired for such an occasion. I’m glad I chose Thyme!
Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Seared Tuna Bowl, Flourless Chocolate Cake, Grilled Australian Lamb Chops Dietary restrictions: We needed gluten-free options, and the restaurant was very accommodating, with the chef offering most menu items made gluten-free.
We ordered the Sirloin Burger and the BBQ Hash and Egg. Both dishes were... merely average. There was nothing remarkable about them. The burger, though cooked to our desired temperature, didn’t have any unique flavor that would differentiate it from what you might find at any regular pub. The toppings were fresh, but the overall presentation felt lackluster. In the same vein, the BBQ Hash and Egg included all the right ingredients—brisket, potatoes, and egg—but somehow didn’t blend in a way that left a lasting impression. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
