The place in literally in the middle of the countryside and therefore very appealing in the summer and with good weather in general. I did visit in February and had a good meal with family and kids. Kinds love it as one can never go wrong with wiener schnitzel! A fair meal at a fair price.
The restaurant is nested amidst green fields, just outside Fraforeano, province of Udine. It is surrounded by mature lush trees, which create the area’s own microclimate and a welcoming dense shade in the hottest summer days. There is also a well furnished playground, which would be a boon for parents. The food is magnificent and it is freshly prepared daily using ingredients from the restaurant’s own garden. The meat is high quality and everything is cooked to perfection. The menu is composed of traditional German and Italian dishes, which provides a welcome variety from the standard restaurant fare. The wine and beer are of high quality and pleasantly chilled. There is a fix -priced lunch menu, however a la carte menu is also available at all times. The service is courteous and prompt. The prices are reasonable. The clientele is largely Italian (business men/women included) with a good smattering of international guests. This restaurant is highly recommended mainly by word of mouth, which is how I came to know about it. I am happy to add that my personal experience surpassed my expectations by a large margin.
Excellent restaurant serving German cuisine. Spacious, with many dining rooms and a large garden with a children's playground. Excellent food with generous portions. The desserts, all homemade, are exquisite. The only downside was that they didn't offer us limoncello at the counter, which they did offer to those who paid before us.
I came on the recommendation of my hosts, and I even ate here twice. I usually look for new restaurants when I'm traveling. I felt completely at ease. On the first evening, I sat in the conservatory, and on the second evening, by the fireplace – totally cozy. The service was super friendly! The food was absolutely fantastic!
