Was Serina Alonzo at Laksarap a mag?
Hainanese Chicken Rice is a popular dish there, as it's a Singapore-themed restaurant. The set meal includes the standard chicken broth soup, steamed chicken with flavorful broth rice and onions, which complement each other nicely, along with the white chicken. They also provide the usual three sauces, although they substitute liquid seasoning for oyster sauce. I would still recommend giving it a try, especially if y... View all feedback.
What Noelle Pangilinan dislikes about Laksarap:
I'm not usually a fan of Singaporean cuisine, but I decided to give Laksarap a chance. Since it’s still in its soft opening phase, I can overlook the noise. As it's a new establishment, people might not be aware of it yet. I went here for lunch on a Friday. I like the fact that you make your own laksa and choose what ingredients you want. They can also adjust the spicyness to your preference perfect for someone like me who loves laksa but doesn;t like it too spicy. I highly recommend the pork and squid ball curry laksa and the fried wonton. Overall nice flavors, generous portions and value for money.
Not bad for the price. The make-your-own-laksa concept is fantastic, letting you enjoy Singaporean food your way. I chose a coconut milk-based soup with egg noodles and a variety of ingredients, including beef and bean sprouts. It cost over P200, but it was definitely worth it since the portion is large enough for two. I was really pleased with the laksa I created. The soup tasted quite similar to the authentic version. I also recommend trying the char kway teow, nasi goreng, and Hainanese chicken rice. All are great for sharing and very satisfying.

I haven’t sampled their noodle soups yet, but I’ve heard they are also quite popular among customers.

My friend and I chose different dishes; she went for the make-your-own laksa while I opted for Singaporean fried rice along with three spring rolls. The portion sizes are quite generous, so I couldn't finish my meal. While the fried rice was packed with ingredients, it was overly oily and didn't have the authentic flavors I was hoping for. I'd be open to trying it again another time.
