Was Flo Glover at Brewcakes a mag?
The beer selection is outstanding! The dishes and desserts are not only delicious but also exceptionally creative. You truly excel at introducing new and delectable items to the menu. Brew Cakes plays a vital role in providing a unique and high-quality food experience to an area (the Inland Empire) that often lacks it. This locally owned small business definitely deserves our support. View all feedback.
What Lina Bradtke dislikes about Brewcakes:
Not what I expected. It has the feel of a bar more than a little dessert place. Their beers were just okay to me, and I didn't enjoy their Moscow mule. I didn't even recognize the drink- my fiancé had to tell me what he ordered for me. It's a busy enough place that it feels hip, and they have specials every day. I might give it another try. We also tried the side salad, priced at $8, but it didn't quite meet my friend's expectations. I had a slice of pizza for $2, which was a great deal for the quality. Overall, the food was typical bar fare, so don't expect anything extraordinary. However, the prices seemed a bit steep unless you happen to hit a special. The desserts looked fantastic, and I'd be open to going back to sample something from the menu. On a side note, one of the two bathrooms was a bit odd; it had no doorknob, so you had to pull the door open by gripping the deadbolt lock. That was just strange.
I visited this restaurant for the first time during their midweek happy hour. While the wait for service was frustrating—sitting at the bar didn’t help—I did get a menu to peruse, which gave me enough time to change my mind a few times. This could have easily been a 4-star review if not for the rocky start. However, once I finally received my Belgian triple, I was able to relax while waiting for my food. The burgers looked impressive, but I opted for the "When Pigs Fly" sandwich, which I was pleased with, even though I regretted choosing the tasty but excessively greasy fries. The pork was tender, and the macaroni and cheese inside was excellent! I plan to come back and hope for a better experience next time. The food options look promising, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for improved service. At least they have a good selection of craft beers!
As a proud supporter of local businesses in Redlands, I’m truly disappointed and will never return! We stopped by after my mom had minor surgery on the way home from the hospital, otherwise, I would have left right away. I would have been okay with paying full price despite the misinformation and rude service if the food had been good… but it was awful. The black bean burger tasted horrible, and the fries were overly soggy. My mom ordered a habanero dog but could only eat about a third of it, and her fries were also wet and mushy! If you want a decent hot dog, go to KLUDDES! If you're craving a good veggie burger, head to the TARTAN! Don’t waste $40 (including tip) at this terrible place that doesn’t respect its own advertised deals! #GetBrewCakesOutOfRedlands. Check my reviews—I rarely give a poor rating!
Food was good, service was very slow. The manager said the crowd was larger than they anticipated. The entertainer that evening had a large following. The manager gave us free drinks due to the wait and apologized many times. I'd return
