What User dislikes about Karoline:
visit the fishing village for a few hours. skip the resort. it is a type of tourist trap and they can make better in other villages. for example there is no internet in the rooms. the services are terrible. View all feedback.
We have booked a harbour suite cabin and our own apartment. the hotel resort consists only of old wood buildings, the structure is very well preserved and well maintained. the apartment was very stylish and the old building structure perfectly combined with new comfortable furniture. the bathroom has been equipped with a floor heating and very stylish also with high-quality cosmetic detergents. the restaurant offers very delicious food and we also liked the breakfast very much. the staff was very friendly throughout the complex. we can definitely recommend this hotel resort if you want to feel the atmosphere of an old fishing village. because of the rest in the night we had a very good sleep.
That can be beautiful and say goodbye. on the way there, even the street landscape is great. the people draw on the photos. the village is made for the tourist and is like a museum. it wasn't busy when I was there because we arrived after opening hours. otherwise we would have paid 600 nok for a family of two adults and four children. it is picturesque and the fjord cliffs are dramatic. but there are more authentic villages that live.
A great place to stay in the lofoten islands. the breakfast was excellent, many good opportunities for fishing and northwest driving. I also like the fact that it is a bit away from the higher traffic places that is well made for a more authentic experience.
I tried the veggie burger, which was made with seaweed and beans. It had a distinct veggie burger taste, as expected. I had been seeing seaweed burgers everywhere and decided to give it a try. While it wasn't significantly different from other veggie burgers I've had in the past, you could definitely taste the sea in it. Overall, the restaurant is really cool with a boat right in the middle. There is also a great story of historical significance behind the restaurant and the service was excellent. There aren't many dinner options in Reine, but I would say this restaurant is a winner.
The restaurant offers a nice view and pleasant service, but unfortunately, the food was not impressive. I ordered fish and chips, but was disappointed to find that the dish consisted mostly of unflavored chips. The two small pieces of fish were tasty, but the chips lacked flavor. The sauce provided was good and served as a tasty dip for the chips. However, be aware of the 100 NOK entry fee to the area where the restaurant is located, which is only charged to those who do not sneak in when a larger group is distracting the ticket salesperson. This unexpected fee can be a negative surprise for those simply looking for the nearest open restaurant and not interested in the village itself.
