the green teacake is not sweat. so light and fluffy, while a delicious green tea taste. I have it for many years and it never changes; very consistent in what they offer. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Yeh's Bakery:
The decorated fruits are not fresh. Bad hand writing on the cake, with this price, at least put on fresh fruits. Make sure u check the freshness of the cake before they put it in the box, I didn’t check ? I should View all feedback.
Recommend the boston cream pie. it is much cheaper than the cake and has the signature fresh whipped cream.
I've been here for a long time because I love her pancakes, boston cream cakes and curry puffs. their cakes have made me to take the long walk to wash. However, I am very disappointed by my recent experience with them and their lack of hospitality in their customer service. I ordered a cake to my birthday and told her I wanted an 8 chocolate fruitcake. the worker (here picture is included below) asked if I wanted to be obsessed with him, who on my wrong assumption, I suspected it was included in the price of the cake and she meant the fruit on the top, not fruit in the middle. later she tells me that the cake is $29, so I thought the prices were only high because of kovid, but when I looked at the menu, I realized that if it was extra $6, which she never mentioned. Should I know her pie prices from my head how I work there? if the fruit in the middle is extra calculated, she would have mentioned it earlier. Transparency is important in any type of business. She said that I said it was okay and that the cake was ready. I told her no, I didn't want any fruits in the middle and I had misunderstood that it was an additional fee. she began to talk to her employees in the mandarin that I understood completely. they complained and while I understand the frustration as the cake was already made, it should have been over the additional fee at the top. she continued to speak in mandarin and shook her head and murmured under her breath. I kept telling her I didn't understand her, but she should have been clear. should customers be expected to know the prices of their causes from hearts? All in all, I am sad that the workers, not all, only that one on the picture, has such a bad attitude and is not willing to recognize their fault when I admitted that it was my fault that I misunderstood, but I am not entirely wrong. to speak behind the peoples, in another language and their nonverbal acts showed their lack of professional demeanor. if I did business and acted like she did before my patient, I would be chewed immediately. I'm sorry, I won't come back here. while I love her cake, her customer service has gone completely downhill. I hope you boys in the bakery improve customer service and learn to teach your workers that they are as transparent as possible to avoid future misunderstandings like this and do not accept that people cannot understand what you say behind their return.
Overall rating: 9.5/10 for the strawberry cake at this Chinese bakery. The cake has a regular layer of strawberries on top, with a creamy center and a thick base layer. It is not overly sweet like most bakeries, with a very soft texture and just the right amount of cream. If it had three layers instead of two, it would be a perfect 10/10. The chicken roll is superior to Fay Da's version, while the curry cow dish is good but overshadowed by the pastry. The sponge cake roll is also delicious. This hidden gem of a bakery is worth the drive, as the cakes disappear within minutes. On a return visit in April, the vanilla cake received a 9.9/10 rating for its consistent two layers and soft texture. Unfortunately, there are no good soft angel cakes in Long Island, making this bakery a must-visit for cake lovers.
This bakery in Queens is definitely the best! Their cakes are incredibly light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet - absolutely delicious and refreshing. In addition to cakes, their green bean cakes, curry puffs, and Boston cream cakes are amazing. Our family always goes to this bakery for parties and special occasions, and it's the only place we go to for our desserts.
