This is the fast food equivalent of McDonalds for burgers, but Ashton's specialty is poutine. It quickly became a favourite of my daughters that had to have it for lunch two days in a row! Very busy little spot. The tables don't get washed down and garbage accumulates quickly, so suggest taking the meal to go and finding a great spot to sit down and enjoy.

Feels similar to a baskin robins inside, has GREAT poutine, sets the standard for poutine in Quebec. It's not the best but it's the standard and pretty darn tasty! A must for travelers in Quebec!
We made a short afternoon snack. it's just a counter and some tables. we only have a big frit and it was really good. great value for the price and very satisfying. would recommend.
While many people visit for the poutine, I must say that the sandwich at Ashton is quite delicious. I prefer it over other fast food options like McDonald's and Tim Hortons. The seating in the basement is not very appealing, as it feels like sitting in a metal container with the scent of the restroom. I would recommend choosing a place on the street level instead.
