The Land in Pullman is a lively tavern serving solid comfort fare—best known for an acclaimed chicken sandwich and smash burger—paired with well-crafted old‑school cocktails. Friendly, efficient staff and a roomy, game-filled interior (pool, darts) create a welcoming, slightly rowdy college‑town atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and most dishes satisfy, though occasional inconsistencies (watery mac, thin queso, uneven fries) show. Great for casual meals, groups, or a night out before the scene turns fully bar‑centric.
This is a fantastic little place for dinner and drinks. Even though the parking lots were packed, I was able to get a table immediately. The specials are also reasonably priced.
Nice option for a casual meal in a local restaurant.Staff is young, friendly and efficient. In no time we had our beverages and food arrived a little after.I visited the place during the week. I had the Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burguer and it was so juicy and full of flavor. The cobb salad was big and had all the elements of this kind of dish.Definetely a good option to chill and enjoy.
As far as tavern food goes, The Land does it well.We just arrived in Pullman in time for a late lunch and a quick search led us here.To be honest I'm not anfan of tavern food. I mean, we have only so many days to live on earth and you want to make the most of each moment. That said there are times where eating at a tavern is in order and if you find yourself there, The Land is not a bad choice.The Cesar not distinguished in any way, but at least the dressing tastes like it has anchovies so props there.And the chicken fingers were seasoned with something, I'm not sure what, but it made them actually taste good, not to mention that they were fried in a way where the meat was actually tender and moist.Fries were crispy and seasoned well.Most of all the service was prompt and super friendly and made us feel very welcome.I would recommend a visit if tavern food is what you're craving.
The food was so good. The service was amazing. Appreciated the little things like at each place you can charge you phone if you have your cord with you.
College town restaurant. Food was yummy! Music was loud, as were the patrons, but it's Pullman so deal with it! Went there before it turned into a bar scene. Pool tables, darts, etc. I see zero reason to not check it out. Go Cougs!!
