I had never been to Carlita's before, but I decided to try it after noticing they had a plant-based meat option. I even emailed dining services to confirm that it was vegan. The street tacos were fantastic! The meat had a great flavor, similar to soy curls, and was well marinated in a spicy sauce. They also offer sides like mexi fries. I had never tried Carlita until one day I walked by and saw they had a vegetable meat option. I contacted dining services to confirm that they are indeed vegan. The street tacos were amazing! The meat tasted like soy chorizo, very well marinated in a spicy sauce. They also have sides like Mexi-Fritten. The only downside is that they don't offer a vegan cheese option, especially for the nachos. The restaurant is located in the food court on the main level of the Compton Union Building for those who may not be familiar with it. (Updated by a previous review on 2022-02-19)
