Maxgrillos - Pugo
Maxgrillos
Description
Set along the national highway, this spacious, homey carinderia-style stop offers open-air seating, ample free parking and friendly owners — a convenient pit stop for travelers to/from Baguio. The menu ranges from bulalo and dinakdakan to crispy pata and kambing, with many praising standout dishes and attentive preparation. Clean restrooms and a tidy dining area add comfort, though flies can be an issue outdoors. Opinions diverge on value: portions and flavor impress some diners, while others find prices high for inconsistent quality.

The restaurant offers a carinderia-style dining experience, making it an ideal stop for hungry travelers, especially for riders heading in or out of Baguio or TPLEX. The special hot bulalo is delicious (PHP 450), and there are various dishes available, all served with rice. The dinakdakan is also a good choice. There's ample free parking, and the dining area is open-air (so be mindful of roaming flies when enjoying your meal). Service is for dine-in, and I visited for dinner.
The restaurant features an excellent variety of healthy dishes, providing numerous choices for diners. The atmosphere is tidy and welcoming, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience.
Maxgrillos Resto is one of the top spots to unwind and enjoy a meal with your loved ones before making your way to Baguio or Manila. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, complete with an extensive selection of delectable, freshly made dishes. The restrooms are clean and well-lit, and there's plenty of space in the parking lot. Plus, with a police station located nearby, you can feel secure while you dine.
