Food, service and atmosphere great. Will return. Chef has years of experience which shows in the food that tastes wonderful with great presentation.
They have a new chef, Yann, and have completely revamped their menu. I went there for lunch today, and both the food and the service were outstanding. I had salmon served over pesto fusili pasta, and it was amazing. At first, I was a little surprised because it isn't a traditional Italian pesto with basil and pine nuts. Instead, it used cilantro and walnuts as a fusion to incorporate Mexican tastes into the dish. I do love a traditional pesto, but this variation was a welcome change. It was excellent, and the presentation was top-notch as well (as you can see from the photos). Plus, it's a generous portion size. They also give you a Chipotle bean dip with house-made tortilla chips, made with flour tortillas. That was delicious, too! They have live music on Saturday nights, so I can see this becoming a regular hangout, particularly on the large outdoor patio area. The owner also has a seafood business, so they'll serve fresh seafood, not frozen, whenever possible. The chef takes the time to train the wait staff on providing exceptional service, which can be hit or miss at other restaurants here, particularly since Humo Bistro recently closed (they were my favorite fine dining restaurant here). Highly recommended.
