Great pint of Guinness and good price (at just over a fiver) these days. Bigger than it may look from the outside as difficult to see inside: tall ceilings, light and airy feel. Worth checking out. One of the oldest biggest pubs around these parts probably with quite a lot history if you wanted to look into it. Plenty of space because it's such a big place and not that busy
Until now every station pub I'd been in felt very transient but this is a proper local. Highly recommended.
Haven't been here for thirty years,lovely clean ,bright and airy .Good range of beer wine spirits and the makings of outdoor seating area behind pub .
Friendly, spacious, welcoming bar. Five stars if you get a keg based pale ale/ipa/craft beer on tap Price per person: £10–20
